Second Quarter Honor Roll Assembly a Big Success
Student scholars earning a grade point average (g.p.a.) of 3.5 or above were honored Jan. 18 at our second quarter Honor Roll assemblies in the sixth grade team room. Each grade level enjoyed its own assembly, and many parents came out to support their students.
Two special guests from the VFW came to the seventh grade assembly to present awards to the winners of the VFW Patriot’s Pen essay contest. Margaret Rutkowski garnered the first place prize, and Jillian Blaney was the runner up.
Students with a perfect 4.0 g.p.a. were recognized and placed on the Principal’s List. As a token of appreciation for their hard work. 4.0 students received t-shirts modeled after the rock band AC-DC logo. The shirts say: “AB not CD We studied all night long.” They were well received by the crowd.
