The Middle School Experience
Students who will be new to FHMS in 2008-09 are invited to participate in the “Middle School Experience” April 16-18. The event will be coordinated with Four Peaks Elementary so all current FP fifth graders will be transported by district bus to FHMS on one of the three days. Future FHMS students who are NOT currently enrolled in a FHUSD school are definitely invited and welcome to attend. Call Mr. Brennan to set up a time on one of the three dates indicated.
The Middle School Experience is a way to help future students and parents become familiar with FHMS prior to their actual enrollment. We will host about 60 fifth graders each of the three days. Visitors will be paired with a sixth grade “buddy” who will take the new student to two classes and to lunch. Visitors will also meet with Mr. Brennan, Mrs. Gomez, and student leaders to learn more about all that FHMS has to offer.
On the evening of April 17, we will host a parent meeting, tour, and FHMS orientation in the sixth grade team room, 6:30-8 p.m. All parents of new students are invited to attend. The evening meeting will feature a campus tour, explanation of FHMS programs, and a chance for Q & A.
