2008-2009 School Year Is Officailly Underway!
About 560 Falcons joined us for the opening of the 2008-2009 school year. Students enjoyed their first days at school–let’s work together to make sure they enjoy the next 178 school days!
The sixth grade teams continued the long-standing tradition of working together with students on the first day to help ease the transition to middle school. Students complete a “scavanger hunt” in groups around the campus to learn who and where important people and places are.
Lunch was served for the first time on Aug. 12. Lunch periods were extended to allow for cafeteria orientation. Please feel free to call Mrs. Misewicz if you ever have questions about the food service at FHMS–480-664-5489.
Many teams are already planning exciting things for the year. Please contact your child’s team of teachers if you ever have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress.
On a serious safety note: please do not drop off students in the school parking lots. Use the drop off lane provided, and make sure your student exits to the sidewalk. When students are dropped off in the parking lot, they must cross traffic, and this creates a potentially dangerous situation.
