Thank you to the FHMS parents who voted in last week’s School Site Council Election. You successfully elected two new representatives who will each serve a two-year term.

Mrs. Sheree Batson:

I have three children in the FHUSD. Ali is in second grade, Cole is in fourth grade, and Jake is in sixth grade. I am currently a site council member for McDowell Mountain and Four Peaks. I have served on site councils for seven years. Site council is a great way to be involved with the schools. As a parent member, I am able work with the principal, grade level teachers, special areas, parents and support staff. I have found, at site council that our kids are absolutely the school’s first priority.

I have also found it’s a great place to voice your opinion and, as a parent, let the school district know if we feel there are any issues from curriculums to menus. 

I will continue with my current positions until I am “booted off”! I would appreciate your support in allowing me to serve as a site council member for the FHMS

Mr. John Woltkamp:

·         Fountain Hills resident for 15 years, married for 17 years, with three children ages 13, 11, and 8 attending schools in FHUSD since kindergarten.  Daughter is in 8^th grade at FHMS and 2 sons attend Four Peaks Elementary School, 3^rd and 5^th grade. 

·         Interested in supporting and being involved on Site Council to assist school administration with some of the opportunities and issues that arise concerning Fountain Hills Middle School.

·         Problem solver with ability to focus on issues and help implement solutions that serve the greater good of Fountain Hills students, parents, teachers and administrators.

·         Assist principal and staff in advisory capacity on issues needing parent input and involvement.

·         Employed in Avionics industry as Technical Engineering Manager for Honeywell Aerospace.

·         Actively involved in community youth sports organizations, including Fountain Hills Little League and Parks and Recreation/Boys & Girls Club Youth Basketball.

·         Managed and coached Fountain Hills Little League baseball teams for 8 years. 

·         Coached boys and girls youth basketball teams for Parks & Recreation and Boys & Girls Club leagues for 8 years. 

·         Interests and hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, riding dirt bikes, camping, playing volleyball and spending time with family.
