Happy New Year!

Published by Mr. Brennan under Mr. B's News

Here we go! Time to Fire UP! I love this time of year, and I hope you do to. We’re getting ready for another fantastic school year at FHMS. The teachers begin their official work week next week (August 3-7), and students begin Aug. 10. Our office is open 8-3 for any new registrations, questions, or anything else we can help with.

Here is a summary of important dates and events:

July 24: Mr. Brennan and Mrs. Gomez’s summer vacation ends. Mrs. Gomez cries.

July 27: Office re-opens, 8-3.

July 30: New teachers report for training.

July 31: Student schedules will be mailed.

August 3-7: Teachers report for training and preparation.

August 7, 1-3 PM: FHMS Meet Your Teacher. This is an open-door event for all students and parents. Please feel free to roam the halls, say “Hi” to your teachers and office staff, pay fees, load lunch accounts, etc. A number of FHMS supporters and partners will be available in the lobby. School supply lists are posted on the district web site: www.fhusd.org.

August 10: First day of school! We will be on our early release schedule, 7:45-11:45. NO LUNCH IS SERVED.

August 20: School picture day.

I am really excited for the start of the school year! We have had some work done over the summer to make FHMS an even better place to learn: seven new SmartBoards were installed; the school is being painted this week, the whole school has been cleaned and shined up, and a few landscaping projects are still underway.

I look forward to a great school year with students, teachers, and parents. Please call, email, or visit my blog any time I can help!

HINI Letter from Dr. Myhr

After receiving some information from the Maricopa County Health Office, Dr. Myhr prepared the following letter for parents. This letter will be distributed to all FHMS students with their class schedules next week. I have also included it here for your review. Please call if you have any questions or concerns.
