FHMS Needs Site Council Members
Fountain Hills Middle School has three vacancies on it school Site Council. With major stakeholder involvement, the Site Council acts in an advisory role to the principal so that decisions are made on the basis of broadly based input. The ultimate goal of the Site Council is to support the district and the school’s mission and vision for a more effective learning environment for all children.
The FHMS Site Council meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday at 2:40. Meetings go no later than 4:00, and typically last about an hour.
FHMS currently has the following Site Council positions open for the 2009-2010 school year: one community member; one parent member; one Ft. McDowell member. Community and parent members serve for a two-year term, and the Ft. McDowell member serves for a one-year term. The community member may NOT have a child enrolled in Fountain Hills Middle School. The parent member must have a childe enrolled in FHMS. The Ft. McDowell member may or may not have a child enrolled in FHMS.
Individuals who would like more information or are interested in serving on the FHMS Site Council should contact Tom Brennan, FHMS Principal; 480-664-5411 or tbrennan@fhusd.org.
