Mr. B,
you have a great site. I can see that you are very interested in communication with your students and families and that is great.
Looking back, what are your thoughts about working with troubled youth at ABR? How does that compare with your present position?
Duane
Well, Hello, Mr. Duane!
Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate your positive feedback! Although I am new to “blogging” I do find it to be an effective way to keep parents and students up to speed with all things FHMS. I would like to get to the point where I am able to fit in at least one new post each day; I’m working toward that goal, but I try to get on at least every week and do an update.
My experience at Arizona Boys Ranch certainly enriched my career. The program at ABR “back in the day” was an excellent treatment model for troubled boys. Surrounding the residents in an entire culture of responsibility, respect, education, and work ethic definitely changed many of the boys’ way of life, and I was proud to work there. I would have continued on at ABR longer than just two years, but an opportunity to begin my career as a school counselor opened at EVIT, so I moved on.
Thank you again for visiting! Check back often.
Mr. B
this is an ausome site!!!!!! i see that you love the school and that you would do anything to help or improve it!!!! thanks again
Jessica S.
Thank you, Jessica for visiting our blog! I appreciate your positive feedback. I really do love FHMS and strive to make it the best middle school in the state!
This is the most educated site for our middle school…. i cant wait for the next pep assembly! when is ithe next pep assembly exactuly????When dose girls soccer start????
From Jessica
P.S. i personaly think this is the best middle schoolin the state!
Wow, Jessica, you were busy with comments this week! That’s great, and I really appreciate that you are visiting my site. I try to update at least each week, but sometimes I get swamped with other business and I don’t get to it.
I think we are looking at Nov. 14 for the pep assembly. I know that sounds like a long way away, but after fall break, it will be right around the corner.
Girls soccer will begin in early November. The volleyball and football playoffs with be held the week after fall break, and then tryouts for soccer and basketball will begin in November.
I am so glad you are proud of your school! Tell everyone you know to come to FHMS! Go Falcons!
Mr. B
Gret blog Mr. Brennan! When is the winter dance?
Hey
I really like your blog!
Thanks for visiting, Jimlene–good to hear from you! I did some updates today. Keep checking back to find out what’s going on at FHMS.
We miss you!
Mr. B
i miss going to FHMS too. School work got hard for me @ my new school.
Would you tell Mr. Novack i said “hi” also Mrs. Gomez.
thank you!
I was just wondering if we have a half day this tursday the 9th. I wsa told we did by my friends and told we didnt by my mom. So i am confused, do we have a half day on April 9th or not?
Mr. Brennan,
Too bad it took a flu scare to get me to this great blog. The transition from Four Peaks Elementary to Middle School will definately be easier for mom. Your Resume is impressive, not asd much as your family values, something that a S/W/D mom would love to see more of any every community. We need heirarchical respect in action and language for education in this electronic golobal world. Unfortunately time and aging are a factor that don’t multitask as well as the next generation is going to have to. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your staff as my son moves through time.
Thank You for this blog!
Hey Mr. Brennan!
This is Rheann Hitt. I went to FHMS last year and i miss it sooo much! The middle school I go to now is South Valley Junior High and i’m going to Campo Verde High School next year as a freshman. I’m excited and scared at the same time! Thanks for having a blog, i’ll check back soon!
-LOVELOVELOVE- Rheann:)
Mr.Brennan,
I was 1 of your journalism students at ABR. Its great seeing what you’ve been up to. You were a good mentor even though we were playing video games when were suppose to be focusing on our columns. But we managed to always finish. Thanks for the awesome memories.
DL
I have some club ideas that i would like to tell, i understand if they wont work because of the teachers that we migt not be able to get but i thought i would just go ahead and tell you these ideas.
1. Tree Hugger Club
Help heal the enviorment and raise money to plant trees and flowers around the campas.
2. Bookworm Club
Help Ms. Webb oragnize books and help out in the library
I know many people who would like to join these clubs.
Thanks for reading,

For the first day of school do we go to all of our classes or not?
i love this website.
Thanks, Hailey! Come back soon,
Mr. B
Hi Jessica,
Sorry I missed your comment in time to give a helpful response!
Check back again,
Mr. B
Thank you for these suggestions, Jessica! The first item of business with a new club is to find a staff to sponsor the club. If you have a willing teacher, I can tell you what else needs to be done.
You know, we have a science club called Earthquest (Mrs. Manes). Although she orgainzes the Catalina Island through Earthquest, they do other activities from time to time. You might speak to her about your Tree Hugger idea.
Thanks for visiting,
Mr. B
Hey, how long do soccer tryouts go for?
Just wondering because im trying out.
Dates and times please
Question. What is Mrs. Kelly’s email. I need to talk to her about Builders Club and i dont have time during the school day.
Thanks,
Jessica S.
Hi Jessica,
All teachers emails are: first name last initial @ fhusd.org. So, Mrs. Kelly would be: tkelly@fhusd.org
There is an email list on our site on the District web site: http://www.fhusd.org
Thanks for writing!
Mr. B
Hi Jessica,
Sorry I missed your note earlier in the week. As you know, soccer tryouts are over.
Congratulations on making the team! Go Falcons.
Mr. B
Thanks
Im happy i made the team and do you know when the games schedules come out?
Jessica
Yes, Jessica, the game schedule is already out! Ask your coach for a copy, or come to the office.
Wait a minute–I have a BLOG! I can post it here as well.
Mr. B
Ok thanks, do you know when the next assembly or dance is going to be and what it will be?
you are a good principal
Hi Rachel,
I am so happy you visited my blog, and thank you for your kind words. I really enjoy being the principal at FHMS! I look forward to school every day. The students are great, the teachers are great, our facility is great–I am very lucky to be here.
Thanks again,
Mr. B
Mr. Brennan,
I commented awhile ago on here!(:

Hi Rheann!
Thank you for visiting my blog. Glad you are having a great time in high school. These are special years, and I hope you make the most of them. I also hope FHMS prepared you well for your high school experience. Say “hi” to Mr. Lawrence, Mrs. Goodell, and Mr. Stutzman for me!
Mr. B
I have a question about 8th grade promotion. I heard that the girls have to wear a dress or they are not able to promote. Is that true? I just want clarification.
~Jessica
Mr. Brennan.
All of my worries and insecurities about my son’s experiences with education, socialization, and the school in his life have been calmed and turned around, by you and your staff. Thank you so much for everything. I am adding facts about my brother’s guitar, and for him would like your picture please with this guitar. like the blog picture of you with your guitar..we have a tuning fork for this Spainish Classical 6 string instrument. but no tuner. When you are available the guitar is a classical 6 string Manuel Rodriguez e Hijos Aftican rose wood and spruce with multiwood inlay guitar from Luthiers (Desde 1905) in Made in Madrid. It is to stay in adult handsfor now. Thanks again for the meeting, your staff, your presence in the middle school and your help with special children. Carol
Hi Jessica,
Thank you for visiting my blog again! If you go to the front page of the blog and look at the calendar summary for this week, there is a link to the letter I sent out to parents. Yes, girls are expected to wear a dress or skirt outfit, or a “nice” pants outfit. The main thing is to “dress up” like you would for church, a fine dinner date, etc. I’ll be coming to the home rooms starting next week to talk to all eighth graders about the event.
Mr. B
Dear Ms. Ricker-Bailey,
Wow! I so appreciate your words of support! It means a lot to us. We have worked hard to create a safe, supportive learning environment at FHMS; I’m glad it has been a good year for Chase.
The guitar sounds beautiful!
Thanks for visiting my blog,
Mr. B
